Ongoing resistance in Bil'in
A demonstrator was injured in addition to dozens of asphyxiation cases
from tear gas in the village of Bil'in west of Ramallah.
A young man, Mu'awya Al-Khatib (17 years) was injured today by metal
bullet in his foot, and dozens of severe suffocation, in result of
repression by the Israeli occupation forces of Bil'in's weekly march
against the apartheid wall and settlement.
The occupation soldiers shot metal bullets, stun grenades and tear gas
towards the participants upon their arrival to the liberated area, which
known as ' Abu Lemon', near the apartheid wall, and they also sprayed
waste water mixed with chemicals toward the demonstrators, which
resulted the injury of the young man (Mu'away) , and the burning of
large areas of land planted with olive trees.
The march organized by the Popular Committee Against the Wall and
settlement in Bil'in, included Participation of a Brazilian delegation,
dozens of Palestinian, Israeli and foreigner peace activists. The march
comes on the eighth anniversary of the International Court of Justice in
The Hague, which recognized the illegitimacy of the apartheid wall and
called to remove it |
