El Cairo, (Efe).- Los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de la Liga Árabe rechazaron hoy una propuesta de seguridad estadounidense para el futuro estado palestino, que reiteraron debe ser independiente y con su capital en Jerusalén Este.
En una reunión extraordinaria en El Cairo, celebrada a petición del presidente palestino, Mahmud Abás, los jefes de la diplomacia árabe criticaron el plan de EEUU sobre una eventual presencia militar israelí durante diez años en el límite con Cisjordania.
Abás ya expresó su descontento con esta idea a mediados de este mes en un mensaje a las autoridades estadounidenses, que median en las conversaciones de paz entre palestinos e israelíes.
De acuerdo a ese plan, aviones de reconocimiento estadounidenses vigilarían el territorio palestino y militares israelíes se desplegarían en zonas estratégicas a lo largo de la frontera con el futuro estado palestino, que debería ser desmilitarizado.
La Liga Árabe insistió en una resolución al final de la reunión que la solución al conflicto debe basarse en la Iniciativa de Paz Árabe, aprobada en 2002.
Esta iniciativa estipula la retirada israelí de todos los territorios árabes ocupados durante la guerra de 1967 a cambio del reconocimiento a Israel.
Los ministros árabes también rechazaron "todas las medidas y planes políticos israelíes que tienen como objetivo alterar las realidades demográfica y geográfica de los territorios palestinos ocupados", según el texto.
Se encargó al secretario general de la Liga Árabe, Nabil al Arabi, enviar un mensaje al secretario de Estado de EEUU, John Kerry, para reiterarle la posición árabe.
Por otro lado, los ministros responsabilizaron al Gobierno israelí de "obstaculizar el proceso de paz mediante el asesinato de palestinos y sus planes de construir asentamientos".
Al Arabi dijo en una rueda de prensa tras la reunión que ni los países árabes ni la Autoridad Nacional Palestina (ANP) harán concesiones a Israel.
Por último, recordó que los países árabes acordaron con EEUU supervisar negociaciones entre ambas partes que no deben durar más de nueve meses, entre fines de julio de 2013 y abril de 2014.

UPDATE FROM GAZA\ (1) The israeli occupation opened another water dams on the Palestinian homes in Khuza'a, KhanYoni camp, causing a dramatic flood increase in the area.
(2) And because that was not enough for the Israeli occupation they started shooting at the civilians who were trying to evacuate there homes in the area, forcing them to stay in their homes while sinking in floods water, 2 injuries were reported, one of them is ( Rajab Alqassas 22 year old ) who was shoot in his leg while helping his family evacuating.
(3) Death toll in Gaza is up to 4 people 3 of them are children under the age of 4 year old who arrived to the hospitals frozen dead.
(4) Injuries in the Gaza strip are up to 135.
(5) 1183 families has evacuated their homes to live inside UNRWA schools.
